There was no brainwashing necessary. Goans had to get on with
their lives, instead of sulking or praising how great the Portuguese
were. That is what the Goans did - Got on with their lives! Plain and simple.
If Goa was treated by India, like East Timor was treated by Indonesia, things might have been different. Then we could have appealed to Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz that India had stashed/used "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Goa, ask to be liberated and then requested Portugal to reoccupy us! We could settle a lot of scores by 'eliminating' all those behind the 'brainwashing' and driven away all the 'bhailey' or outsiders!!! All Goans could get Portuguese passports without faking residency and migrated to Europe!
How about starting that campaign on Goanet, right now?

It is a fact that Goan articles are heavily biased and anti-Portuguese. It is journalists like you that take advantage of the ignorance of the majority of Goans to keep the anti-Portuguese feelings alive.
In a Goan society that still gives great amounts of benefits to freedom fighters (even after 43 years of freedom), it is very convenient to keep anti-Portuguese sentiments very much alive. I don't blame you. You have been brainwashed just like the majority, and, therefore, that comes natural to you.
