I guess you need to accept the reality that Goa is part of India.
If you have any grievances against India's 'invasion' of Goa and the subsequent 'occupation', you might want to lodge a complaint with the International Court of Justice at the Hague or better still go to Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Wolfowitz, to get Goa back from the Indian occupiers and hand it back to Portugal! If you take the lead, you might get some support on Goanet.
You are saying, "Nobody is asking for the return of the Portuguese to Goa". Even if you did wish it thay way, it will not happen in your wildest dreams! Whatever frustrations you have about India's 'occupation' of Goa, you have been airing them here, however irrelevant the original subject! Perhaps, this is your only medium for venting your anger and frustrations. You are free to do it here, but do learn to take some humour in stride, instead of being dogmatic about each and every issue, that relates to Goa and India!

Goa was not treated like Timor is because Goans did and are not reacting like the people of Timor. We have seen a few cases especially of Father Chico Monteiro mentioned on this list and the treatment meted out to him. 1961 was not a smooth transition of Goa. Many problems exist because of the invasion. Nobody is asking for the return of the Portuguese to Goa, but Goans ruling Goa. At the moment it is puppetry at its best.
