Goa's Open Secret - Inquisition in Goa An Open letter! My letters to individual Goans/Indians with web-pages on the Inquisition in Goa keeps bouncing back or ignored.... Wonder why? To date, Teotonio and Santosh have provided some numbers. But nobody has responded to this open letter with either numbers or statistics ON THE INQUISITION IN GOA. If anybody..... knows anybody who has written about the Inquisition in Goa, please pass this on to them and encourage them to respond. THIS INCLUDES the Goan Journalists, padres, pujaris, RSS and Hindutva members, Islamists and academic Christians, etc... Does anybody have the copy of the book THE TERRIBLE TRIBUNAL FOR THE EAST (on the Goa Inquisition) by A.K. Priolkar? This book may have some statistics. Dear ........, Are you the same ...... who has a web-page of something related to the Goan inquisition? I am originally from Goa and live in the United States where I practice Medicine. I have been engaged in some research on the Inquisition in Goa. Your name and webpage appears very prominently among the articles written on this subject. I would appreciate if you could share any of your statistical information with me and perhaps with other Goans. I am seeking statistical information with specifics total number of victims and the year, names of villages in Goa, time, and date. And also helpful would be names of the native Goan victim(s), age, sex, ethnic background. Also of help would be the specific data on the nature of the alleged offence and the type of punishments and torture etc.. I have been a member of Goan cyberspace and of course I will share my findings (with reference to its source) with the group. Undoubtedly, I would appreciate a little autobiography from you.
