Paul Stannarb (37) has sworn never to return to Mumbai. “I might visit some other Indian city, but never Mumbai,” said the British tourist who was on his fifth visit to the country. Stannarb claims he was drugged, knifed and stripped of all his clothes and belongings on March 23.
“The last thing I remember is checking out of the Seashore Hotel, at Arthur Bunder road. When I woke up, I was in a police station wearing a sack,” said Stannarb, who owns a construction firm in London, said. “I had come here to finalise a plot for a house in Goa. But now, all I want to do is leave. I hope to fly home on Sunday,” Stannarb, who is running around for a passport and tickets, said.
