Gilbert Lawrence:
Arre Cecil! Welcome back baba from your vacation. It was very short.
Hope you had a relaxing ani Milka-Singh time.

CP
Thank you for asking but it was not a vacation as you presumed. It was a work related absence from office. And hence no access to e-mail.

------------

GL
Poile svater, I am surprised the widely ani unanimously acclaimed
maestro of Goan Parody is taking unkindly to a little lampoon. Kitem,
you don't have chutzpah? :=))

Thanks you for your praise but I do not think I am the 'maestro of Goan Parody'. And I don't think I have 'chutzpah'. I was merely asking for explanations for your statements.

--------

GL
Dusrem svater, regarding 'individual names'. Kitak rre, do you really
want to know? :=)) Then you guys will start your own cluub ani kutub
with legal movies, more phun ani tea bhair more tamasha ani natak. :=)).

CP
You stated there are three "Goenkars who wear their 'Non-Practicing Goan
Catholics' label as a 'badge of honor' ". Why can't you name them?

---------

GL
Regarding the 'new Goan culture' of non-practicing Goan Catholics here
is my response. So like the song goes...
You're so Vain.
You think this song is about you?
Don't you? Don't you?....

CP
Please answer the questions or admit that you don't have a clue?
What is this 'new Goan culture' you talk about. Who are these three individuals?

I definitely am not one of them. I mentioned that I was a "non-practicing Catholic" in replying to a point that Merwyn had raised. I definitely do not wear this description as a 'badge of honour'. What is so honourable about it? A badge of honour is worn proudly for an achievement of any sort. Like maybe a doctorate. But not for ones religious beliefs - or lack of them.

----------
GL
The culture of 'Non-Practicing Catholics" is greater than all Goans put
together.

CP Kindly explain.

-----------

GL
But, now that you are being defensive ani self-protective
about being classified as 'non-practicing Goan Catholic', (which you
labeled yourself) are you going to join the 'Catholic brigade'? :=))

CP
I am not being defensive or aggressive. Merely asking you to explain your statements.

-------

GL
If
so, Welcome Aboard! Now you with us can work on the other Goans who
claim they are 'Too Intelligent' or 'Just Too Tired' to make it to
Sunday church.

CP Which Goans claimed this? When?

---------

GL
But if you want to pursue this dialogue of Non-Practicing Goan
Catholics, please do not make it a personal discussion - because it is
not. Why don't you write an essay one side of this debate?

CP
What debate?
Please define your viewpoint and define all this 'new culture' and raise some valid points first before calling this a debate. Someone just firing off vague shots in the dark cannot be grounds for debate.

---------

GL
On a final humorous note: Of course "Goan Catholic culture/identity is
splitting at the seams", that's how Non-Practicing Goan Catholics fall
between the cracks. :=))

CP
You seem to have evaded all the questions.

I repeat the questions again for your reference.

Will Gilbert please identify these three individuals?
Or is this another shot in the dark?
Will Gilbert define and describe this 'new' Goan culture he talks about?
Or is this a figment of his imagination?
Who said Goan Catholic culture/identity is 'splitting at the seams'?
Is Gilbert quoting someone or is this his own opinion?
