It may be cheaper to travel with some airlines but IT
MAY NOT BE SAFER..

One can understand when it comes to services offered
by such Airlines  but can we really compromise safety?

Sometimes, we have no other choices than to travel
with such cheaper airlines �380 e.g. I had to be in
Goa on 6th but all other airlines were fully booked
until 9th june.

My journey started from london LHR on 5th June 2004,
o/b Aeroflot a strange type of Russian? aircraft
Illysion? (as in Airbus/Boeng etc). Everything seems
to be in Russian language even the leaflets/magazines
in the seat pocket.
When arrived in moscow,A/c stopped at its stand, all
passengers left their seats with their handbags
quequed up to disembark but the aircraft suddenly
started moving backward and halted at a faraway
distance from where all passengers were transported by
coach. No anouncement was made to say 'all passengers
should go back to their seats' .

>From Moscow to Bombay, another different type of
Aircraft named POCCNAR?. 
Up to 95% passengers were Indians.
No Audio-video (No headsets) on all sectors. 4+7hrs 
No Safety demonstrations at all.
Over the tannoy, they did read the instructions but
didnt understand a word except the usual one '..pl
refer safety cards located in the seat pockets infront
of you' but there were none in whole of the aircraft.
Every seat pocket had just one duty free sales
magazine.
When the flight was few second away from landing, we
saw a kid around  9 years old standing in the aisle
and trying to open the overhead locker but no crew
members bothered to stop him (except us) they were so
careless that it appeared as if they were rebelling or
protesting againt something or some one. One could
also see their different/rude atittude towards asians
pax/sector.

When it comes to inflight services, one could also see
two levels of services offered. One (good) on European
sector e.g. LHR-Moscow and the other (poor) on Indian
sector. Red/White Wine & Beer served on European
sector and just Wine on Indian Sector. Strictly one
glass of wine or soft drink served that too about 3
qtr full. Disposable meals packs were with many items
missing like salad bowl/deset/bread or butter. Seen
many lights on (bell for attendant) but no body
bothers to come to you (same treatment received from
Alitalia too) and when some one asked why nobody
comes, the answer was 'don't ring bell just for water,
get up, go there and help your self' 

Their English/accent is very poor, when up to 95 pax
are Indian, one asian crew member recommended on such
sectors as in Lufthansa.

I travelled with
VS/BA/AI/QR/EK/GF/LH/AZ/SR/KW/AF/AMM/CKT/MON/MYT etc +
Indian Domestic IA/9W but will never travel with SU
again.
