This just goes to prove my point that South Goans don't know how to make
good Caju Feni. A true Feni should bring up nostalgic memories of Konkani
songs on the radio. In North Goa we would be singing songs by Alfred Rose,
Lorna etc.

And after a good amount of genuine North Goan Caju Feni is consumed one
moves on to popular picnic and party songs songs like

Fu Gadi Fu (Ponjechea pular bosun aslem soku)
Possorkanni-Possorkanni
Tabdem Rosa
O Xezanni

Cecil,

1)Caju feni distilled by the SVD fathers seminary at Raia (South Goa) ,is to
die for.
It is smooth, just hits the spot.

2)No cultural confusion ,my friend. The English oldies are just a warm up to
nostalgically sing Moganna sont borem,

Agenari tujea -------

Yo baille yo,soro maka di poilo.

Maybe at the next Goanet get-together in Goa ,we can have various
competitions N.Goa /S Goa : sausage comparing,feni
tasting, driving(making a neat figure of 8), Portuguese versus American
Goans, konkani oldies versus English oldies, male chavinism versus
feminism, painting classrooms :north Goan artists versus south goans etc
etc.

Looking forward to sparring with North Goans.
