The URL is http://www.BasilicaofBomJesu.com or http://www.CatholicParishes.net/IN/GOA/BomJesu/ It has the timmings of the Masses during the Exposition of the RELICS of St. Francis Xavier. So also the timmings of the veneration of the relics. Please do click on the links on the left hand side. One of the links will take you to work done by the Retreat House, Bom Jesu. If you feel like it you could make a donation in cash or kind towards their work. Another link will take you the life history of St. Francis Xavier. You will be surprised that Francis initially was not interested in joining the priesthood. It was his room mate St Ignatius who got him to change his mind by stressing on "What will it profit a man to gain the whole world & to loose his soul". Francis was not even the first choice to come as a missionary to Goa. His life as a missionary lasted just 10 years, out of which just over 2 years was spent on board sailing ships visiting different countries. In short his life could be sumarised with : GOD CHOOSES THE IMPERFECT & MOVES THEM TOWARDS THE IMPERFECTION. Another link on the left hand side will open the page on the history of the Basilica. There is a link provided on the right hand side which will take you to the official web site of the Archdoiocese of Goa. Please do visit the site & email all your friends giving them the above URL. Thanks. BTW, this web site has been put up by a set of volunteers. We are looking for sponsers & advertisers to sustain our efforts. The rates are very nominal. Those interested in helping, please send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .Please also visit the home page of this portal. The URL is http://www.CatholicParishes.net There are a number of churches world wide that have joined up, including Mount Mary's Basilica, Bandra Bombay, Grace Church Margao & Se Cathedral Old Goa. Also if any of you know of any catholic parish/institution/organisation world wide wanting to have its very own web site, please do send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] & we will do the needful. It is FREE for parish/institution/organisation but as mentioned we would like sponsers or advertisers. Robin Viegas.
