Kuwait City: Nov.7: Paradiso and Curtorcares were the final two teams to
make it to the quarter finals of the 8-A-Side Ramadan Silver Jubilee
tournament being organized by Goan Overseas Association with convincing
wins over Blue Label and F.C.I respectively.
In the first match, Paradiso won 3-1. Assad and Jerry (2) scored for
Paradiso while Nandu reduced the margin for Blue Label. It was indeed
encouraging to see that both teams fielded mostly youngsters and non
KIFF (Kuwait Indian Football Federation) registered players. In the
second match, a strong Curtorcares easily got the better of F.C.I.
Philip and Naem scored in the 2-0 victory.
The Quarter final line up is as follows:-
8 Nov. 2204 Goa yellow v/s City Boys at 5:45pm
Rising Stars v/s Bombay Boys at 6:15pm
9 Nov. 2004 Santos Football Club v/s Curtorcares at 5:45pm
Buffalo Soldiers v/s Paradiso at 6:15pm
The organizers have also confirmed that all matches from the quarter
final stage onwards will be of 30 minutes duration, i.e 15 minutes each
half, followed by tie breaker in case of a draw.
