IFFI: Award-winners from 20 nations

Noted producer Bobby Bedi's 'American Daylight' and animation movie 'The
Incredibles' feature among the films to be premiered at the 35th
international film festival of india (IFFI) beginning in Goa from november
29, and the mega event promises to provide a visual treat to the viewers and
cinema connoisseurs.

The other premiers are 'Finding Neverland' and 'The Forgotten''.

There would be two special screenings 'Hari Om' by Ganpathy Bharat and 'Chai
Pani' by Manu Rewal at the fest.

There would be more than 200 films and 400 screenings spread over ten days
in different sections like the Asian Competition, Cinema of the World,
Indian and foreign retrospectives, Tributes and Homage, Indian Panorama and
mainstream indian cinema at the IFFI.

The much-awaited festival will open with Mira Nair's 'Vanity Fair', which
was premiered in the Venice Film Festival competition section this year.

Apart from 'Shwaas', the national award winning Marathi film which is
India's official entry to the Oscars, delegates will also get to see South
African 'yesterday' and malaysian 'Puteri Gunung Ledang' which are their
respective countries nominees in the best foreign film category for the
oscars.

Anant singh, an Indian-born South African is the producer of 'yesterday'.
