Dear all:

As we begin to celebrate our 5-year anniversary next year, we are pleased to
announce our theme
for 2005: Year of the Goan Child. We intend to focus a majority of our
volunteer efforts in 2005
on Goan children.

Some specific goals we have set for 2005:
1. Become involved in medical care for Goan children (raising awareness and
funds).
2. Provide educational grants (including scholarships) for Goan
children/orphanages.
3. Raise awareness for the Goa Childrens Act. See the complete Act at
http://goagovt.nic.in/documents/goachildact2003.pdf.
4. Raise awareness for childrens rights, and other issues which have adversely
impacted our Goan
children (child labor, child sex abuse, etc.)

We are excited by the new volunteers who have joined us. As we move forward
with great enthusiasm,
we look forward to your support. You have two choices: do nothing or become
involved. We hope you
become involved. Please contact Marissa de Almeida at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you
wish to
volunteer.

We thank all of you for your past support which has inspired us to do more and
provided the
momentum to keep going.

Please forward this email to your family and friends.

Best regards,
Board of Directors, Goa Sudharop
