In Goa, only returned Africanders played hockey. Now that they've all re-migrated to places like Canada, ANZUS, etc... everyone is back to football. Of course, the TV-advertising opportunities thrown up by cricket also means that game has thrown up a lot of hype (and got many followers, thanks to persistent coverage for it) in today's Goa. FN
