The first, "the rock" Peter was definitely Asian. And subsequent couple of followers, including Clement.

Even during Peter's time the Pauline schism had begun, thereby promoting a series of rival popes, all Asiatic.

But, aside from Toppo, there is a Goan candidate from Pakistan; quite a hot one, I believe!

It is difficult for me to believe that historically the Holy Spirit has always guided towards
European Popes. Unless of course the Holy Spirit is European - perhaps Italian? More likely,
Europeans have picked Europeans.
