Letters to the Editor On Film Festival With reference to the article by Mr Remo Fernandes I have to say that the IFFI has changed the face of Panaji. The roads have become of European width, quality and look. The lighting makes the roads even more beautiful. Thanks to the dynamism of Goas Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Parrikar, all this was possible within a very short time. If Mr Fernandes has any other grudge I request the state government to look into it, but to criticise the holding of IFFI in Goa is an insult to the pride of Goa. A festival, which was the monopoly of the Delhi bureaucratic mafia, was brought to Goa owing to the initiative of the former information and broadcasting minister, Ms Sushma Swaraj and turned into reality by the Goa government. We should feel honoured, rather than be sceptical about it. SUBHASH KHARAPURKAR, Mapusa
