TO: Tariq Siddiqui <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Tariq writes: I am personally more concerned for the 1.2 billion Chinese who do not have an opportunity to live in freedom and democracy.
Would you please ask Georgie to invade China and overthrow the repressive communists so that the 1.2 billion Chinese people can enjoy the fruits of demcoracy that we enjoy here? Mario replies: By the way, that's President Bush to you, not Georgie. Show some respect for the office, even if you don't have any respect for the person in it. It is instructive that you are less concerned by Muslims who were being brutalized by Muslim tyrants and were living in abject poverty, than the Chinese, who, the last time I checked, were well on their way to prosperity after having given up on extreme socialism. You are probably not aware that the Chinese gave up brutalizing their people quite a while ago, and are now all having fun making lots of money as budding capitalists. We attacked them in their wallets without a shot being fired. They still do not have all the fruits of freedom and democracy, but freedom and democracy will follow just as day follows night, because, unbeknownst to a cynic like yourself, they are alreading enjoying many of the fruits. This is what happens when previous tyrants see the light and the benefits of economic prosperity, which has still not occurred in most of the Muslim countries. The most productive Muslims, the Palestinians, are already showing what they can do in this country, which they are unable to do in their own country. Not unlike NRI's, who escaped from India's previous socialism, made their mark in the west, and are now enjoying the best of both worlds, thanks to Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi.
