Did you know that ENTERTAINMENT is good for your HEALTH??

Well, as for me, I have gone gray, tired and have crossed the 50's, but such
a thing never did occur to me. And to think of it that just because I had
taken a negative stand on the mega entertainment event that has rocked Goa,
or rather, Panjim for days on end in the name of IFFI, I let go and missed
a chance of a lifetime of being massively entertained for days on end, I am
literally kicking myself in the sheens. Why? Because the money that I blew
on medical check-ups, the blood tests, the urine tests, the tablets I have
swallowed and, most of all, the food and the liquor I had to lay off, could
all have been avoided, if only my dear dear friend, the chief minister of
Goa, Mr. Manohar Parrikar had to speak out this particular advice on health
matters on the cable TV before the onset of the IFFI rather than after IFFI
was done with. Now I will have to wait for one more solid year. The advice
which Manohar Parrikar has openly given to Goa and Goans is that
"ENTERTAINMENT IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH" This, when he was speaking to some
conference or something, a few days ago, where it looked like there were
more intelligent people than fools.

And now, with such a good doctrine floating around, how could I talk against
all the tax payers money, in crores, that have been blown up on IFFI?? Am I
against the health of the general public too? No sir, not me.

I am anxiously awaiting the good news to be splashed on the papers soon,
that one ward each of the respective government hospitals i.e. Asilo,
Mapusa, Hospicio, Margao and the GMC medical college, Bambolim, have been
converted to discothques in the interest of the health of the patients so
that they may get maximum entertainment right there in the hospitals and
get well effectively instead of blowing up the money on the costly medicines
and salaries for the doctors and the hospital staff. Besides, contractors
like INOX will absorb the maintenance bill of the entire venues.

And the one place that is left uncovered by this scheme, which is the Mental
Hospital at Altinho Panjim, this institution will be hosting regular
entertainment shows, more specifically "The Bangda Dance" shows, performed
by none other than Mr. Manohar Parrikar himself, for, this institution is in
the closest vicinity of MAHALAXMI, the Chief Minister's Official residence
and from where he can improvise on putting up additional shows as and when
required considering the acute needs of the inmates.

Or conversely,

This ENTERTAINMENT 'Bug' has eaten my good friend's good brains so bad that
he may be required to shift residence in the immediate future and the task
of doing the 'Bangda" should come to me, for I too can rise up to the
occasion to do an excellent "Bangda" myself. And I would do it free of cost,
and as many time as is required, so that the good brains of my good friend
are restored back to the original IIT capacity, so that he may go back to
his pet programme of distorting the young, budding brains of Goa's school
children, so putting me in an excellent position of assured business of
doing the "Bangda" till the day I die.

Cheers & Merry Christmas (did I hear my good friend objecting to my saying
Merry Christmas? After all it is all in the spirit of ENTERTAINMENT, in'it?)
