I don't like your new procedures. As it is, the Admin team screened all or most of the mails. Even now, you have the right to reject any unsigned mail or offensive material.
The previous arrangement allowed me to delete mails written by certain folks, even without opening them and I am sure many must have been deleting mails with my name on it!
Also, most e-mails are in the public domain and spamming is a problem that each one has to deal with, on his/her own. I don't think that I received any spam mails solely by being on the mailing list of Goanet for a decade.
I am sure there is going to be quite a discussion on this topic alone!
