Many fundamentalist Protestant denominations have begun to follow this example, especially in the US. The entire Catholic Church needs to do so as well instead of wasting untold amounts of time and treasure in pomp and ceremony and over-the-top celebrations of saints whose only useful purpose should be as examples of what the rest of us human beings should behave like in this world. The problem with the so-called "Pro-choice" movement is that the only "choice" they offer as an alternative is abortion.
