Dear Mervyn,
As the slogan for 100 Pipers Scotch Whiskey goes, "Those who enjoy drinking do so responsibly ". Now if I was sitting in a bar then I am responsible for paying my bill and have to ensure that the barman does not 'chodoi' the bill thinking I do not know how much I have consumed, or shove some of my drinking companions pegs on my bill while totalling. That is why I count how much I consume.

P.S.
You guys in Toronto don't need to count how much you consume because you can't have more than a 2 pegs in each bar anyway, by law. So you as you go bar hopping to try and get even slightly tipsy! Or drink at home which is so boring.
