Just a few quick points:
When you say that, "there is no caste in Christianity" I believe you are trying to be devious, yet again! There is a distinct ambiguity in the statement that you readily choose to make. Yes there SHOULD be no caste in Christianity BUT the lived experience of lots of people, including me, is that there is plenty of it around. Also, there is a lot of evidence from scholarly sources which says it is there. Some of this I will quote and provide sources when I send my articles to international audiences as intended.
I have now come across two independent sources which indicate Fr Jerome D'Souza's role in the founding Constituent Assembly, as indicated by Mario. Your disparagement of Mario, on this count simply does not stand up I'm afraid. Will you therefore please apologise to Mario?
You have nothing to be apprehensive about if you belatedly insist on including yourself against caste, even though most of your many posts have indicated the exact opposite! If you are really serious Gilbert, do watch your back however, when among casteists! The Aldona camaraderie, including the Archbishop, will have nothing to worry about either, when the issue of caste among Catholic Goans is internationalised. All will have the opportunity to refute anything they like in an international forum.
I definitely do not intend to continue with this caste debate on Goanet unless absolutely necessary. I have said what was necessary on Goanet for now and will take a break for other things. The next step-function on the caste issue is the international circuit for me.
I therefore conclude by reminding you that Catholicism teaches, among many humane things, that human dignity is indivisible. Unfortunately, those who believe in caste, (including those among priests and ex-priests we might know) implicitly believe the opposite and do no favours to the Catholic Church whatsoever. Indeed, they are parasitical of it.

Cornel
