Hi Eddie,

The person whom you " remember one of them imitating Bandodkar wearing white
suit and black glasses" is not from the trio of Rom-Rem-Rod. He is a different person, residing from Bombay. Prem Kumar made nice use of him in his masterpiece "Mortikar" while Young Stars of Goa group used him to depict him as Dayananda Bandodkar and in fact he had all the appearances of Bandodkar. His name I dont remember now but I was told that time he was the father of tiatirst Sucurrine. In looks and talk he imiated Bandodkar perfectly well. Bandodkar at one particular time even was annoyed at Nelson for creating a replica of his to mock him. This is one of the reasons why Bandodkar levied entertainment tax on tiatro whereby he annoyed all the tiatrists. Incidentally, out of fear for their tirade and opposition against MGP rule, Bandodkar exempted Nelson's
tiatro "Dolorosa" from this unwarranted and unjustified tax. That was the might of those days tiatirsts expecially of the trio of Conception-Nelson-Anthony and also of Rom-Rem-Rod.

About a song rendered by Jr. Rod in praise of me, yes, I heard it. Besides me, Jr. Rod praised others too in this song.

A. Veronica Fernandes,
Kuwait.

Thank you Bab Veronica for the article on Rom tony.

I remember one of them imitating Bandodkar wearing white
suit and black glasses.

Besides political, Rom-Rem-Rod trio was very famous for
taptam (Slaps).. they used to slap each other in the song sequence.

Recently I heard one song of Jr. Rod where in he mentioned
your name in the song for fighting for Konkani....I cant recollect
the name of the album...but the song was on Konkani fighters.

My condolences to the family of Rom tony.
