Mervyn, You and some of your fastidious friends seem to see name-calling and abuse where none exists.
I know you are very familiar with the brutal and vicious name calling in the Canadian press regarding the US because you regularly regale me with copies of their articles, so you are really living in a glass house, my friend. You guys can dish it out, but cannot seem to take it. You need to lighten up. Besides, the term Canuck is not a pejorative, at least around here. One of your professional sports teams calls itself the Canucks.
