Het, Mervyn, No one in their right mind from the US would come to the PRC for "free" medical treatment, even if it were available to non-citizens, which it is not. You must be dreaming. In fact, it is the Canucks who come south for medical treatment because for anything more serious than a head cold, they are put on a waiting list, and many would die before their turn came up.
Yes, Americans buy cheap drugs up there which are subsidized by PRC citizens, just as they buy stuff from all over the world, which keeps the economies of these third world countries going. This is all part of our free market economy and works to enhance our foreign aid program. The reason the PRC has NO enemies is for the same reason that Iceland has no enemies. The PRC doesn't mean enough to anyone, and is just not important enough, for them to make it their enemy. The PRC also does not help anyone who is in trouble. A country has to stick their necks out and take important and difficult and unpopular stands in the world to develop enemies. Like liberating countries from corrupt dictators, and confronting terrorists. The PRCu doesn't do any of this difficult stuff, so they are of no concern to anyone.
