Netters , For what its worth, I would just like to add my words of support to what Dr Helekar has posted. Never in all my years (its been a while) on the goanet have I ever seen any post by him that would suggest that he has a special dislike for one particular religion. While I may not always agree with his posting as a mostly silent ( that's not a virtue :) ) goanetter I have enjoyed reading his verbal duels with people of different religious backgrounds. Calling him ' anti-Catholic ' is flat wrong and disingenuous at the very least. Keep posting Santosh . Its been a while since we heard from President Pandurang Fernandes :) it might be time for him to step out with some much needed common sense . On an unrelated note where is Sunila Muzawar, there is another Goanetter I miss. May be we should have a where are they now section .. Fred ? So I will just wade through all the innuendo and respond briefly to some specific canards you pull against me. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > >"There ought to be no limits on religious bashing on >Goanet." > >So do you really agree with the above statement you >made. There is nothing special about religion. It is just like any other issue. > >As regards you laundry list of Anti-Hindu posts (I >only take it as an educational tid bit) is not as long >as you make it out to be. Please go look up my long arguments with Sunila Muzawar, Filomena Giese, Samir Kelekar, among others, on Ayurveda, Vedic Astrology, Vastushastra and ancient Indian wisdom. But you leveled a charge against me that I did not criticize Hindu beliefs. Are you big enough to admit that you were wrong? Will you retract your charge? Or will you keep moving your goal posts? > >Let me be more helpful, if you want to post an >anti-Catholic message, why don't you just send a >private post to George Pinto? > I have no interest in posting private anti-Catholic messages to anybody. My posts have always been in reaction to the following: a) Prejudice based on religion, ideology, nationality, etc., b) Erroneous assertions whether based on religion or not, c) Irrational or anti-scientific propaganda, d) Claims that faith should supplant science in explaining certain natural phenomena, e) Claims that science has proven the notions of a particular religion, f) Claims that there is no conflict between science and religion, g) Holier than thou attitude of individuals whether on the basis of religion or not, h) Exhortations by individuals demanding immunity against criticism for religion or some other such special status for religion, i) Attempts by some to shut others up or expel them because of their religious criticisms, j) Repeated name-calling and abuse on account ofsimple disagreements, k) Unwarranted generalizations based on isolated or infrequent occurrences. > >And the rest of us will be spared your and others >religion-related hate-filled posts. > Show me one post from me that is hate-filled. > >And by the way, your alter-ego George Pinto should >know this is a Goanet chat channel. > George Pinto is not my alter-ego. I have only one alter-ego. His name is President Pandurang Fernandes, and he is a very religious man. In fact, God speaks to him in his ear every single day. Actually, nowadays He calls him on his cell phone every single hour. Cheers, Santosh P.S. If you want to respond to this post, please cut out the nonsense, and this time use Cecil Pinto's name, instead of George Pinto or Mario Goveia.
