GL:
I am not against an intellectual FACTUAL expose aka constructive criticism,
even of my religion.
I am against 'BASHING'.
There is a difference between bashing and criticism "using mild, acceptable and
parliamentary language".
Again we are about semantics.

Let us NOT forget what started this thread, here is the quote:
"Give religion in general, or any particular religion, a free pass" and that is
same as those "with have a sick and depraved mentality, ... who should never be
allowed to hide behind any kind of religious immunity"? ... "There ought to be
no
limits on religious bashing on Goanet."

Do I detect a moving goal post?:=))
Make a bold explosive statement. Then run for cover and reappear as a very
civil and sophisticated orator? Instead of all this peekaboo, why doesn't one
just say, "I am sorry for the over-statement in my zeal to make a point"? And
this does not only apply to only one poster.

Clearly this shift in your stand would suggest you recognize your slip. I
apologize to you (and hope you accept my misfortune as your friend) to bring
this to your attention. I only did this because I enjoy reading your posts and
find them refreshing. I know there is a temptation to reply to a crack-pot post
with another crack-pot post. I succumb to that in spite of my best efforts to
ignore them. BTW, I did not think any of the past posts where we exchanged
views belonged to the ten categories you outlined.

I don't want to kiss and make up. :=)). Doing it with two adult males in one
week may be just too much for a Texan, and even more for a Goan Texan. I don't
want you to get in trouble with your wife. This is specially with my next
thread - your post about my post about homo-sexuality. :=)) Stay tuned!:=))
Regards, GL
