"Reis Magos (opp Inox)" is how one post describes this rather splendid albeit neglected monument in a post about Goa's forts.
I am more distressed than amused by this description. The Inox may have become a very recent (somewhat garish) urban landmark, but the effective range of a landmark can hardly extend across a fairly substantial river, can it? The Reis Magos fort needs no landmark to call attention to its existence, I assure you, and if a companion structure is at all needed, then one need not look beyond the very charming Reis Magos church. However, if anyone would like to visit the fort and would appreciate a little local flavour about its colourful life and times, do get in touch.
