I want Goanetters to know I don't pay Cornel for bowling that allows me to hit sixers that land outside the stadium. Now to his various claims and canards:
1. He asks in conclusion whether he is missing something because he thinks I am uncritical of America. What he is missing is a mirror that he can look in. He claims that the role of an intellectual is to criticize his society, insinuating, falsely as it turns out, that he is an intellectual and I am not. However, the archives will show that I criticize the USA about as often as Cornel criticizes dingy ole Blighty. He has overlooked this little fact in his hasty zeal to attack and propagandize. 2. The articles about the Brits being attacked by crows, the French and Germans, were not written by me. I was just forwarding those to warn the Brits. So, if Cornel takes issue with the contents he should please respond to the respective authors. 3. I'm sure the US generates garbage commensurate with the fact that it also generates about a quarter of the world's GDP. However, the crows in the article I forwarded were apparently ignoring all the garbage that is strewn all over dingy ole Blighty and were attacking Brits. May have something to do with the culture of bathing once in a blue-moon over there. 4. Genocide is what Hitler did to the Jews and others. Genocide was what happened in Rwanda, and is going on in Sudan. The early American settlers did no such thing. They were exploring and conquering a new-found continent and the killing was a consequence of any armed resistance by the indigenous peoples, no different than what happened in other colonial expansions of that age. Where there was no armed resistance there was no killing, as proven by the numerous indigenous Americans who survive, and those who survive through the descendants of intermarriage with the settlers. The claims of smallpox in blankets etc. are all bogus. Simple common sense, which anti-Americans seem to eschew when on the attack, should tell Cornel that. In the days before any smallpox vaccine, such tactics would have wiped out the perpetrators just as surely as any intended victim. 5. As I have shown above the hysterical claims of a blood-soaked land are not borne out by any facts and is a figment of anti-American propaganda. 6. Cornel's knowledge of Cuba and recent Cuban history is about as fanciful as his knowledge of American settlement, and is right out of Castro's propagandized version. To begin with, it was President Kennedy's failure to get the Americans involved that resulted in the Bay of Pigs being a fiasco. The "first-hand information" about Cuba that Cornel claims to have is all Castroite propaganda. No one in Cuba is allowed to see anything the communist government doesn't want outsiders to see. The real story is the relentless attempts, at great risk of life, of those trying to get out of that communist "haven". That is always the best indicator of what is really going on in a country. --- cornel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Mario, > A wealthy country like the USA generates hell of a > lot of garbage.
