People do have different colours of skin; Hence u are wrong to say that
Halur is wearing glasses!
All the worlds people have skin colour; skin is not colourless! Skin colours
can be white, black, royal purple, brown, brahmin fair, and you did not
mention 'yellow'. In India particularly, and among Indians everywhere, 'Fair
skin' is preffered in the mind of the beholder, for a variety of reasons;
nothing wrong with that; nor is anything wrong with any person specifying
caste, family background, education level, riches etc. in their marriage
adds or seeking a person of their choice!
What is wrong is, when a person despises another skin colour; when people
discriminate against people because of their caste ranking or castlessness!
Also it's wrong for people to be caste conscious! People should remember
they are fortunate to be born into so called 'upper castes', and unfortunate
to be born into lower castes; down trodden to be born Dalits etc; That is
why affirmative action is taken as per constitutional directives in India,
trying to make up for the centuries of discrimination against the lowest
classes and their inherited social, educational and monetary poverty.

They are not stupid either; they are just excercising choice; this is not an
'imposition' on anybody!
