Dear Cornel, Thank you for your support in this matter, we are not alone, there are others, on this forum, who subscribe to our views. Of course where it matters, i.e. G.B. the majority of us, were against the adventure in Iraq. It is unfortunate that the dice was cast and we have a sad situation, followed by the events that took place, on Thursday. One charlatan on this forum stated that Ken Livingston has changed his stance! The whole Government and opposition have closed ranks, only because of this outrage. The ordinary man, you and I are neither called upon nor expected to follow suit. It was further stated that appeasement did not help Livingston, may I remind the charlatan that we went to war, fat good it did us! It may be, that Ken Livingston's stance of appeasement had prevented many more operatives from having an open day in London. Unfortunately, it is easy to promote war, so long as one is not directly involved. The 'Man' has stated on this forum before, that there is a certain breed of people, who join the Forces and they know what they are getting themselves into! I would like to remind this 'Man' that a lot of the forces had enlisted before this jolly ride and had no opt out clause! This man would not have his sons nor his grandchildren fight what he deems the 'just war' He has stated here, categorically that a certain breed of people join the Army and they do not need our sympathies. Even though this man espouses his views as being anti casteists, he practices it in a different form. It is like the Dalits in India, who are deemed suitable for clearing latrines. In the same vein, we have those who join the U.S. Army, they join up, to an all found job, everything taken care off! When called upon to do so they are expected to lay down their life, their input is not required. Gabe Menezes. London, England
