Here are the facts. London Mayor Ken Livingstone is infamous for honoring the worst Islamo-fascist Imams in London and publicly insulting President Bush for responding to Islamo-fascist terrorists with force. People like him have made London dangerous place and a haven for Al Qaeda trained terrorists. He thought he could thus appease the terrorists and keep London safe. Now he is saying things like, "They will fail!" If Londoner's are lucky, he may have had an epiphany.
Ken Livingstone should have learned from British history. A British Prime Minister named Neville Chamberlain infamously thought he could appease Hitler, failed, and millions paid a heavy price with their lives. Gabe says he knows nothing about all that because he wasn't born until after WW-II. Maybe Cornel can direct Gabe to some history books. > Gabe writes: > Unfortunately, it is easy to promote war, so long as > one is not directly involved. > Mario replies; This is about as absurd as blaming Tony Blair for the attacks on London last week. This is precisely the kind of thinking Islamo-fascist propagandist Tariq Ali was promoting in his editorial in the Guardian last week. > Gabe writes: > In the same vein, we have those who join the U.S. > Army, they join up, to an all found job, everything > taken care off! He must have allegedly joined the RAF to get an "all found job". I say allegedly because I still have my doubts that anyone who thinks soldiers should be asked their input before being sent into action would ever be accepted in any armed service. So Gabe tries to insult the American soldier for doing the same. Gabe tells us he was a banker so successful that he "retired" at 45. In England this is called "going on the dole". However, Gabe did not know what interest rates were in the early 80's, when he was supposedly a banker, and he doesn't know that the US unemployment rate is at 5%, and millions of immigrants stream into the US every year, legally and illegally, drawn by jobs. This means that that there were plenty of jobs that the young Americans could have found short of risking their lives to join the armed forces during a war, just to have a job.
