Video Forum: Special Screenings On Saturday, 30th July 2005, at 4.30 p.m. we will be having special screenings of "THE FILMAKER " International Film Festival Goa (IFFI) 24x7 special jury award winners Rishad D'cruz (Director) and Mark Rocha (Editor) will be with us. There will also be a premiere of their latest venture, a path breaking MUSIC VIDEO TITLED " 9/11".
The Filmaker: Theme - Nature and Violence. 24x7 project for IFFI 2004. Shot and edited in 24 hours. Duration: 16 minutes. This film is about a director who fails at making the deadline at the IFFI competition, turns to suicide. All that is left is his unfinished unedited footage. 9/11: Theme - Terrorism. Shot in a span of two weeks. Duration: 4 minutes 33 seconds. A music video of mainly jump cuts, of terrorism, training, violence from on site locations, camps, television and Internet footage. 9/11 that takes a hard look at Terrorism against the backdrop of world politics and asks some very disturbing questions about 9/11 and the world's reaction post 9/11. "Who defines what terrorism is ? Is terrorism only as old as 9/11. Is its practice really limited to a particular group of people, different from us? " Made with virtually no budget, this video is a tribute to the creative genius of this young, spry and copiously talented duo.
