Hello Goanetters,

I firmly believe that in addition to the main Four Lane Highway, discussed and sanctioned for the Pernem to Canacona distance of NH17; the following should be planned and carried out as soon as possible for Goa's development, and the convenience of tourists and residents alike!

1) One additional Bridge each crossing the Mandovi and the Zuari rivers and possibly closer to the mouths of these two challenging rivers, to facilitate and take care of the ever growing traffic along this route.

2) A dual lane highway with scenic divider in the middle and foothpaths either side, for the North Goa tourist belt: from Aguada to Baga, in the first instance and then this could be extended across the creek to further northern coastal tourist belt. This in turn should be connected by a similar road from Calangute to Povorim NH17.

3) A dual lane Highway with scenic divider and foothpaths either side, for the booming South Goa coastal belt from Velsao to Mobor Cavelossim; this again should be connected by a similar road from Colva to Madgao, on the NH17.

This way Goa will have added to its infrastructure in keeping with world trends and standards; and added to its scenic drives, and convenience, along the coastal tourist belts to begin with.

Then with an upgraded Dabolim Airport, uninterrupted electric power supply 24/7, as also continual water supply, and non fail telephone and internet services, Goa could make it to the top Tourists destinations of the world.

Goa has picked up; but let us realise the full potential for Goa, to be among the top ten modern and satisfactory tourist places on earth.

Cheers!
