Dear Friends, I am surprised that even people like S M Borges are very happy on attacking the personal life of a person instead of utilising their energy for any cause ?
What does he gain by knowing how Dr. Pratap Naik writes his sirname. Or what benefits he can gain by knowing what name Dr. Pratap Naik should keep for himself. Is he living in the 21st century or busy in utilising anybodies cast/cread. It is ones own right to keep any name to himself. I know many christians who still have retained their ancestor hindu sirnames. Instead of participating in such vulgur discussions how nice it would have been if Mr. Borges had given some points on how to promote Konkani for the future generations irrespective of the script or if he had given his shoulder to the people who work day and night for such cause. Can he let us know his contribution in this regard. Dev Borem Korum, Ancy S. When he writes in English he spells it as > "Naik". But in Devanagari Konkani his spelling is > "Naa-Ya-Ka" and in Kannada Konkani it is "Naa-YKa".
