Did anybody know the amount of waste such a tiny place like Dubai generates and what measures it implements to dispose of it. God save Goa from becoming a perpetual sticking pit. Tar balls are not a natural phenomenon, as we are given to understand, but are formed by jettisoned bilge oil and oil tankers cleaning their tanks on the high seas. If they are within our boundries, Coast Guards should bring them in to check; otherwise it would not take long for Goa tourism industry being decimated as no foreign tourists will step in its waters anymore. Besides what recreational facilities are there for family vacations except having a dip in the oily water? The powers that be in Goa should keep an eye on neighbouring States for Goa's misfortune will be an open blessing not in disguise for them. And to round it up, we are planning to build an airport in their very backyard!!! Don't take ruling parties word that the Navy will vacate Dabolim in due time for when they are out of power, they will join the new party coming in power. How long can Goans continue to be so gullible! Does anybody, like me, wish Goa was governed by the Governor?
