According to local myth, you may occasionally catch a
glimpse of her on moonlit nights walking in the waves
with just a pearl necklace on.

Folks,
No doubt taking that as his cue, Hollywood's American-Indian soft core
producer Jag Mundhra churned out a version of the fable in 1998 which is
available in VHS and DVD formats. The film is called Tales of the Kama
Sutra 2: Monsoon (1998).

U.S. Naval Officer Kenneth Blake (Tyson) and his fiancee Sally Stephens
(McShane) travel to Goa (a seaside resort on the West Coast of India) for a
peaceful vacation, but all goes awry when he begins an affair with the
beautiful and mysterious Leela (Brodie). She tells him, to his amazement and
initial disbelief, that they are resort's legendary reincarnated lovers who
jumped from the lighthouse to their deaths 500 years ago in this former
Portuguese colony.
