I enjoyed your nostalgic account of the old steamer travel from Bombay to Goa and you catamaran trip experience. I am looking forward to the same experience this winter. BTW in your old steamer account, you did not mention the Saraswati and the Sabarmati, which along with the Konkan Sewak were the three ships plying the Bombay to Goa route in the 70s. say Hi to all the GEM members in Dallas - we lived there in 1989-1995. These days we live closer to Amchem Goem - on a Mobor-like barrier island between the Atlantic and the intracoastal - amidst the coconut palms, mango, guava, jackfruit, chikoo trees in sunny Indian Harbour Beach Florida !
