Pawar launches tender coconut water packets in Goa - - Panaji: Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has launched packed tender coconut water, manufactured for the first time by a Bangalore-based enterprise. After inaugurating the two-day international conference on 'Global Coconut Industry: Outlook for Future' amid demand of popularising tender coconut water as a health and sports drink, Pawar launched the coconut water packets here. The Jain Agro Food Products Limited has packed coconut water in sachets and also pet bottles which can remain worth drinking for more than six months, without losing the quality. Each packet containing 200 ml of coconut water is priced at Rs 15. On the occasion, company's Director Manish Kumar Jain said, ''Our plant at Somanahalli industrial area in Maddur taluka of Karnataka has the capacity to manufacture 20,000 bottles per day, each of 400 ml.''
