Cong leaders in Goa want to know "facts first" on Alemao episode PANAJI, DEC 19 (PTI) Congress leaders in Goa tonight said they would not like to comment on a television news channel sting operation showing its Lok Sabha MP from South Goa Churchill Alemao in corruption in MPLAD project allocation scam without "knowing the facts." Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Ravi Naik, when contacted, said he does not know anything about the expose as he was attending a private cultural function in Ponda town, 30 km away from here. "How can I react before knowing the facts?" he said. Congress Legislative Party spokesman Jitendra Deshprabhu said it would not be fair to comment on anything till details of the expose come in print media. "They had come to bribe me and I refused to accept it," Alemao, former Goa chief minister told PTI over phone from New Delhi adding that he would file an FIR with Delhi police against the channel and the NGO which "maligned my image. I will take them to court," he said. "I am not involved in anything," he asserted. Alemao said he doubted the claim of the people who had approached him with the scheme and hence held meetings with them.
