The "THEIR" obviously refers to the western economies, principally the USA. > JunkScience.com represents the opposition to those scientists who make no sense. Readers should bookmark it and see for themselves. The lack of common sense, context and perspective by those who describe themselves as serious scientists is often hilarious. > Some of the "serious" scientists need to describe the "sky as falling" in order to scare people into providing more research grants. Others have been co-opted by the socialists who have infiltrated the environmental movement and are trying to excercise control over the western industrial economies. They failed to bring these economies down to the lowest commin denominator through socialiam and are now hiding behind environmentalism to achieve that goal through the back door. > This is why they are trying to fool people into bogus solutions like the Kyoto Protocols, which almost everyone is failing to adhere to, and exempts the two fastest growing industrial giants, India and China. > How can any serious scientist think that exempting India and China, which have NO environmental controls, is going to help their solution? Obviously they are NOT serious. > Here in simple English is what we are expected to believe by the "serious" scientists. See what your common sense thinks about these claims: > a) Computer models and lab experiments tell us that the earth is going to warm to dangerous levels over the NEXT 100 years DUE TO HUMAN ACTIVITY. At the same time these climate computer models cannot predict the weather accurately over the NEXT SEVEN DAYS. > b) The global cooling and warming that took place before human industrial activity began can all be explained away. > c) Europe is going to experience a mini-ice-age over the next several decades, at the same time it is going to experience global warming. Huh? > d) Some islands in the Pacific are being drowned by rising sea levels while other adjoining islands are not. > e) Some glaciers are melting while others in the vicinity are not. > f) CO2, which is 0.036% of the total Earths atmosphere, can be controlled by economic disruption of the major world economies, while exempting India and China. > g) Global warming is responsible for the severity of hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. In the meantime, forget about the 22 hurricanes that formed and dissipated before reaching the mainland. Apparently, no one told those hurricanes that there was scientific hot air over the Gulf of Mexico. > h) The worst hurricanes occurred in the Gulf of Mexico in 2005 due to global warming. But wait, history tells us that the worst hurricanes occurred there between 1880 and 1900, before there were environmental scientists to tell us about the connection between hurricanes and global warming. > i) Believe the scientists that tell us that human activity is to blame for whatever global warming is taking place, but don't believe other scientists who tell tell us that human activity is not to blame, or that modest global warming will actually benefit humanity. The former are "serious" with motives as pure as new-fallen snow, the latter are charlatans with political agendas. > j) Above all, DO NOT USE YOUR COMMON SENSE. >
