Is this a crime, an
> impeachable offense or merely another example of contempt for > the Constitution? It shoud be of concern. > > Mario observes: > What should be of concern to readers is the veracity of people like Maurice Dmello, who has spewed a barrage of deliberate falsehoods in this post as I have tried to detail below. Like some of his left wing co-horts, all bitter and depressed that the Islamo-fascist they support are being steadily wiped out in Iraq, are reduced to vicious propaganda in their bitterness and hatred of the liberators of Iraq. These guys think they can lie through their teeth and then demand that their vile behavior not be described accurately. > The surveillance program mentioned above was authorized by President Bush, after 9/11 after receiving clearance from his legal advisors, to monitor communications between Al-Qaeda operatives outside the US, and their cohorts within the US, for reasons that seem obvious to those who would be targets of Al Qaeda, but don't seem obvious to people like Maurice. No warrants were deemed necessary by the President's legal advisors. The leaders of the House and Senate were informed. The policy was reviewed every 45 days. There is no evidence so far that any "Americans" were spied on, and no Americans would have been involved unless they had a working relationship with Al Qaeda, which is illegal. > Maurice continues: > > In the name of freedom, torture of prisoners, indefinite > detention, secret jails and warrantless searches of our fellow > citizens has taken place. > > Mario responds: > More monumental falsehoods by Maurice. There is no evidence of any warrantless searches of Maurice's fellow citizens, assuming he is a citizen of the US, which would be a damned shame and a disgrace. Not ONE. Only communications with Al Qaeda were included in this surveillance program in order to protect against more 9/11 type attacks against innocent Americans and other US residents and visitors. The interrogation of prisoners, detention etc. are legal during wartime against terrorists who are not covered by the Geneva Convention. Any US personnel who have crossed the line, as in Abu Ghraib, have been investigated, tried in a court of law, and punished if found guilty. > Maurice writes: > > Just as hard will be the invasion of Iraq, a secular country > that posed no threat to the United States, which precipitated > a civil war that has handed power to the religious leadership > and an alignment with Iran. > Mario replies: > More falsehoods by Maurice, displaying the typical callous disregard by all left-wingers for the victims of Saddam Hussein, a cynical disregard for his WMD programs which were likely to be shared with Al Qaeda in the post 9/11 atmosphere of suicide attacks, and a despicable contempt for the UN, 17 of whose resolutions had been defied by Saddam, including UN 1441 which contained an ultimatum. Any honest person would know that there is no civil war in Iraq, inspite of vicious provocations by the Sunni terrorists whose killings of innocent Shia and Kurds is supported by Maurice and his ilk. There is no unusual "alignment" between Iraq and Iran, since Iraqi Shia leader Ali al Sistani has rejected an Iranian style dictatorship in Iraq. Why does Maurice utter such blatant falsehoods? > Maurice writes: > > Iran will be a real threat to US interests and that of it's > allies, especially Israel, and just as Americans are sick and > tired of a $2 billion a week exercise in futiliy to remake > Iraq in US image(!). > Mario replies: > More blatant falsehoods from Maurice. What excercise in futility is he talking about, other than for the Islamo-fascists who failed to deter the Iraqis from holding THREE elections even at the risk of their lives? > 27 million Iraqis have now confirmed a written constitution, developed by Iraqis, which protects the rights of all Iraqis, and have democratically elected a government. There is no resemblance between what the Iraqis have decided for themselves and the US constitution, proving once again either the ignorance or deliberate falsehoods written by Maurice. > Maurice writes: > > What will an unchecked Iran do? > > Threaten Israeli, U.S., and European security. Increase > militancy and embolden hard-liners. Destabilize the Gulf area. > Encourage other countries, such as Saudi Arabia, to follow. > Mario replies: > So, what is the solution to Islamo-fascist Iran by an Islamo-fascist sympathiser like Maurice, who opposes the freedom and democracy being implemented in Iraq by the US? > Maurice writes: > > Iran is ruled by religious leaders with a messianic mission. > It is the evil double of the United States; a doppelganger > that wants to export revolutionary Shiite Islam instead of > constitutional democracy. > Mario observes: > Maurice seemingly has nothing but illogical rhetoric to offer. Here he amazingly compares an Islamo-fascist theocratic dictatorship like Iran with a secular country that encourages democracy, and describes them as evil doubles. What kind of a warped mentality can make such a comparison? > Maurice writes: > > Calling names in this forum will not help, instead I urge > concerned to divert their energy to where it should be put to > better use. > Mario replies: > There is little in the way of any recognizable facts in what Maurice has written, as I have shown above, and, as a result, no constructive suggestions other than to avoid calling names. Such vicious and vile falsehoods leave no basis for civil discussion. Unfortunately, calling a spade a spade is quite appropriate for this post, which is beneath contempt. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Goa - 2005 Santosh Trophy Champions | | | | Support Soccer Activities at the grassroots in our villages | | Vacationing in Goa this year-end - Carry and distribute Soccer Balls | --------------------------------------------------------------------------
