First of all: My apologies if my post came across as an attack on any
messenger. All I did, I believe, is place a few questions. No intent to
attack you or anyone else.
Let us see what Mr. McCrystal has to say upon his return from the West
Indies
About the "vestments" , IN the Basilica, there are vestments (by
themselves) in a glass show case, "purportedly" the ones used by SFX. Those
vestments are unlikely to be ones used by a TALL person.
Finally, I'd like to state this: I was NOT brought up to believe that SFX's
body would remain in a complete state of preservation (whatever that means)
so as long as the Portuguese ruled Goa.
My views on SFX are very simple:
a: The physical state of his body (when I last saw it) does NOT correspond
to the normal process of decomposition.
b: SFX's remains are NOT as important as the effect SFX has had on education
in India in 2006. Education is one tool that the so-called "lower castes"
utilised to overcome the thousands of years of "Caste" enslavement. SFX
remains the target of Rt Wing Hindu anger. No prizes to guess why.
In fact, the much touted CM of Goa Manohar Parrikar was quite ready to
obliterate Oct 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) & Dec 3 (Feast of SFX) from the list of
holidays in Goa.
The Spin about holidays apart, SFX and Gandhi are the two individuals
(besides Dr. D.B. Ambedkar) who have built the foundation stones leading to
the eventual (I hope) dismantling of the Caste Apartheid in India.
That is why it is important to challenge stories about these two
individuals.
For, tiny nuggets of MisInformation are capable of being converted into
mega-nuggets of FACTS by those who truly hate SFX, Gandhi, and those who are
quite upset at the on-going dismantling of the "caste system".
