Dear Jose,
I repeat that I do not claim to be an expert in the field. Since the topic
was raised I pointed to various reports that suggested a different point of
view. I even made it clear that I had not read some of the reports myself.
After that, I did find a copy of the Quarterly Review 1871 article for sale
and got a confirmation of my order. However the bookshop then wrote to me
that they were unable to find the item. My misfortune - not a Vatican plot
:-)
1. You have asked me questions about Mr McCrystal which I am not in a
position to reply. I phoned him last night and forwarded your comments to
him. He has left today for a holiday in the West Indies and indicated that
he would not be in a position to study it till his return.
2. The vestments are not the original ones. By 1923 the body had shrunk
to 1.44m. In 1951 the bones were rearranged to make the body 1.62m in
length and new vestments were placed.. Source:

3. I was brought up to believe as a child that the body was miraculously in
a complete state of preservation and would remain so as long as the
Portuguese ruled Goa!
4. I have relayed information about the reports. Please do not attack the
messenger, particularly without having read the message!
Cheers
Eddie Fernandes

1. Has Mr. McCrystal visited Bom Jesus? If so, has he seen the Vestments
(purportedly) used by SFX ? From my estimate, it would hardly be likely
for a "TALL" SFX to have used such small vestments.
