Suspect Roweena has tied the knot with a colleague; hope to arrest
him from Goa.

The police seems to have zeroed in on the whereabouts of 21-year-old
Roweena Rodriques, an employee of Mumbai based call-centre who has been
missing since Friday last. According to the police, Roweena seems to
have married one of her colleagues Avinash, a resident of Vikhroli. The
issue came to light when Avinash called his parents and informed that
they were in Goa. "We are sure that the girl is with him and they have
got married.

After reading reports in the newspapers, he called his residence from
Goa and said that he was keeping fine there. Now, we are doubting that
the girl has willingly gone out with him due to family pressure. Soon,
we will try to trace their whereabouts in Goa," says PSI Rade of the MHB
colony police station in Borivali. Meanwhile, sources in Zenta said
that the girl is still in touch with some of her best friends in the
office. One of the team leaders of Zenta, who did not wished to be named
said, "She is said to be in touch with her very close friends. But she
has not revealed her whereabouts."

In the statement given to the police by Rodriques' office colleagues,
they said that Roweena was spotted with a mangalsutra around her neck, a
few days before she quit the job. Last week, the girl had reportedly
called her parents from a local PCO booth and informed them that she
would return home in the afternoon. However, when she did not turn up,
the worried father Martin Rodriques enquired with the office, only to
find that she had resigned from her services on March 7. Later, a
missing complaint was lodged with the MHB police station. Roweena's
father had earlier suspected Vijay, the driver of her company vehicle,
as she had complained about his misconduct, for which Vijay was fired by
Zenta's Transport officials.

As per transport rules for call centre staff, employees are instructed
to provide their family members the registration number and phone number
of the driver of the vehicle which ferries them to and fro office. This
is for use in case of an unforeseen eventuality. However, the last day
that Roweena left home, her father could not jot down the number of the
vehicle that she had boarded. Police investigations revealed that the
car belonged to Avinash. The police said that Avinash had picked her up
on two occasions.

Meanwhile, Shivaji Bodakhe, DCP of North Region said that Roweena's
friends have told the police that she eloped with her friend Avinash.
"The man used to earlier work as driver of the BPO she worked in. We
have information that Avinash hails from Vikhroli and are hopeful he
will be in custody in the next two days."
