Alexy's images in Bradman museum
NDTV Correspondent
Wednesday, March 29, 2006 (Panaji):

Goan cartoonist Alexy has put India on the world map of cricket in a
different way. His images caught the attention of authorities at Sir Don
Bradman Museum down under.

Alexy's work on the cricketer's portraits and cartoon book "Howzzat"
have generated considerable interest with curators of the museum in New
South Wales.

The museum has a record amount of memorabilia on the legendary
Australian cricketer. "I was excited because Bradman was my favourite
cricketer. He's the greatest cricketer and he's one of the nicest if you
read his life story," said Alexy.

An avid cricket fan and follower of the game, Alexy chose Bradman as his
subject not so much for who he was as a cricketer but for what he was as
a person.

Alexy has compiled some of the only sports cartoon books in India and
hopes that one day his dream to hold an exhibition on his works on
Bradman will become a reality.

His choice for the Don of today's game - he believes it is Sachin
Tendulkar.
Goa has always enjoyed its share of space in the international limelight
Through his works Alexy has ensured that the space grows.
