As one of the founders of Goa Sudharop and World Goa Day (it was her idea), she has had a remarkable impact in the Goan community and progressive Goan thinking. Many recall her valiant attempts in 2000 with the Vaticant to have Blessed Vaz canonized as the first native Goan saint.
