I find the opinion of Herman reasonable, and so also the decision of the
priests to ban tourists from the Church.
But it would then be unreasonable to maintain the Basilica in the World
Heritage List. If the monument is to be supported with World Heritage
contributions, it needs to remain accessible to any world visitor, with
minimum and reasonable restrictions that could be made clear to visitors.
Otherwise, the Church of Goa should take exclsuive responsibility for the
expenses of maintaining the Church.

Put yourself in the Priests and Devotees shoes and you
will understand why they have done it.
You stay in your own house and give your opinion
without experiencing it.
I TOTALLY SUPPORT THIS BAN, AND I THINK THIS MUST HAVE
HAD HAPPENED A LONG TIME AGO
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PRIESTS AND ALL INVOLVED WHO
HAVE TAKEN THIS DECISION.
because I have had the experience of how non christian
visitors make fun and mockery inside the church. It
happened in front of me and they had to shut up when I
requested them to maintain respect in the church in
the same way as they treat their own religion.
Visitors should learn to treat others for the way they
should like to be treated. They may be permitted to
enter in this sacred place of worship on the condition
they maintain silence and respect.
I believe Church is a House of God and devotion should
be maintained at all time.
