Rene, In East Africa, the name St Francis Xavier Society was invariably the name for the Goan Tailors' Society. Their members were excluded from membership of the Goan Institutes, Gymkhana etc.Is this the one you refer to? Just curious if the old nonsense among Goans still goes on in parts of East Africa.
