This may appear to many readers as untrue, however, it is true. In fact,
plumbers called 'Pandurang Fernandes' and 'Rupa Fernandes' from Chimbel have
worked for me for few years. Whenever I visit Goa I still keep in touch
with them. Pergaps, they may be celebrating both Catholic as well as Hindu
festivals. I am not sure whether these people get any benefits under the
so-called Dalit category from Goa Government.
A silent Goanet observer with the third eye!

A conceivably fair criticism of me because my
perspective cannot be guaged by a stranger from a
distance. But suggesting by implication that my
real-life Chimbelche friends were mongrels is very
unfair. I knew several people in Chimbel with old
Hindu first names and Catholic surnames because they
were reconverted Hindus.
