This seems like an interesting thread. Could someone take on the responsibility of compiling the various problems expats (and local residents too!) face while dealing with banks? This could then be sent to either the banking ombudsman, or to the NRI Commissioner for Goa (in the case of expats).
Also, I have incessent problems in ensuring payment remittances when writing for the market outside India. Is there an easy way of remitting smaller sums, electronically?
