This year when I was in Goa, my aunt gave me a bag full of home grown nachne (also called gondde in salcette). She told me to grind them and make tizan with water/milk. She sp. told me its good for people suffering from diabetes. I dont know if this is true, but olden days people used to have it regularly.(probabaly the high contents of vitamin B)
